AAA2024 Commissioned Artists

This year we are proud to feature three commissioned artworks by five artists: Wai Ching Chan, Tessa Ma’auga, Marc Conaco, Abhi Topiwala and Bhavesh Bhuthadia. Working in a range of media from motion graphics, illustration, zines, sculpture and textiles, these artists nuance and translate new understandings of ‘Asianness’ flowing in and out of Aotearoa, China, India, the Philippines and across Te Moana-nui-a-kiwa.
