Lindsay Yee

Lindsay Yee is a graphic designer based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland). Lindsay has worked in various design studios, written about design for different publications and online blogs, and taught design at a tertiary level. Growing up in Ōtautahi (Christchurch) he was exposed to many creative endeavours from traditional Māori bone carving to Chinese Lion Dance. Graduating from Ara (formerly CPIT School or Art and Design) in 2008, and beginning work at Fairfax Media before moving to Tāmaki Makaurau in 2010 and began working with Jon Chapman-Smith at Fuman. In 2014, Lindsay created Category Design, his design practice that focused on creative fields, working with people from film, theatre, television, and music. Over the years he has worked with a wide range of clients including: Laneway Festival, the Vodafone Music Awards, TVNZ, Script to Screen, Candlelit Pictures, Proudly Asian Theatre and The Basement Theatre.

Lindsay created the visual identity for AAAH2018, which was the theme of Master Class #4 - a Visual Identity Design presentation hosted by Massey University.
